I am a creative problem solver.

I am an Edmonton-based Designer with over ten years

of experience solving creative challenges - one design

at a time.


Annual reports. Done it. Advertising campaigns - several.

An athletics brand? Yup, did that too. I’ve also created short-form commercials, websites, billboards and even

created a design for a hospital unit.


All this to say, if it involves a creative challenge that forces me

to research, strategize, re-imagine possibilites and

collaborate with others- I’m there.


I have built my career working for large companies and

organizations as a Designer and Art Director, or as I prefer

to call it: a creative problem solver.


I’m a big-picture thinker and thrive on finding strategic,

creative solutions that inform, engage and connect with

audiences. My greatest passion is seeing a concept come

to life and connect with an audiences and make an impact.

Campaign

Advertising

Concordia University of Edmonton is a post-secondary institution based in Edmonton Alberta. During my time as Graphic Designer at CUE, I developed all the printed and digital collateral for the University.


I expanded the visual brand by introducing a vibrant

colour palette and eye-catching type to make the

brand more dynamic, approachable and appealing

to prospective students..


This new visual identity was applied across various

platforms - both print and digital. Some of the collateral included printed program brochures, Open House campaign posters, bus shelters and billboards,

and a new website.

Brand Identity

Development

Since 2018, I have been working with FSEAP - an employee assistance program provider based in Ottawa. FSEAP had

an existing logo but needed to refesh their brand identity

in order to be competitive in the markeplace. They wanted to utilize their exisiting logo colour - red, but create a brand that was dynamic, friendly, vibrant and approachable.


The result is a fresh and modern brand that appeals

to a wide audience and whose graphic elements can

be applied across multiple mediums as needed.

Web Design

Coventry Homes is an Edmonton-based home builder who specializes in

single-family homes. Coventry’s old website was outdated and not user friendly, making it challenging for visitors to find key information and not very engaging.


The new design is vibrant, clean and professional. By adding beautiful video of Coventry’s showhomes and creating a more streamlined UI, the website now functions better and has yielded longer visits by users.Coventry Homes is an Edmonton-based home builder who specializes in single-family homes. The goal was to update the aesthetic of the site, increase the time our visitors spent on the site, as well as incorporate a new virtual design tool to engage users.

The new design is vibrant, clean and professional. By adding beautiful videos

of Coventry’s showhomes and creating a more streamlined UI, the website

now functions better and has resulted in users spending more time on the site.

Print

Design

Covenant Health is a health care provider offering care for Albertans based on

Catholic values. Every year Covenant Health releases a Report to the Community which highlights key themes for the year, accomplishments and financial overview.


I was responsible for the creative direction and production of the 2015 report.

I designed compact printed piece that was minimalist in nature, while still including

all the necessary information. The goal was to create a piece that would engage readers, and act as a keepsake for staff. The result was a small 6” x 6” piece that folds out and includes a tear-out piece highlighting the theme for the year - Covenant Health’s Strategic Direction.

Digital Advertising

COVENTRY HOMES Free basements

Coventry Homes needed to create a new advertising campaign to promote a free-basement initiative. This was

a recurring campaign which needed a refresh in order to increase awareness and drive leads.


I led the creative on this campaign and decided to re-brand basements from scary, messy and outdated spaces, to warm, functional, beautiful havens for homeowners. Using a bit of humor, I utilized video and still images to create a series of digital ads that were used on social media, YouTube and in dynamic advertising. These ads were successful in increasing engagement, driving more leads and increasing conversions.

COVENTRY HOMES FANCAVE launch

Coventry Homes launched a new FanCave in February 2023 and to promote the launch, we created a campaign featuring the new space and the Ultimate Getaway contest.


There were multiple digital assets which I was responsible for creating, which included a SportsNet TV drop-in, multiple large format video screens in Rogers Place, as well as a series of digital advertisements across social media platforms, YouTube and our dynamic advertising platforms.

Environment Design

GREY NUNS HOSPITAL

Covenant Health's Norther Alberta Vascular Unit is a

specialized unit that serves patients from across the province.

The unit is located inside the Grey Nuns Hospital and as

a new and unique addition, they were seeking to re-design the unit in order to differentiate it from other units and make the patient experience a more positive one.


Working alongside a team of surgeons and unit staff, as well as an Interior Designer, I developed a concept that is more

welcoming and warm for patients. I designed a wayfinding

system that makes it easier to navigate the space for both

staff and patients alike.

Environment Design

COVENTRY HOMES FANCAVE

This was a design I did for a Coventry Homes FanCave. Coventry Homes wanted the feel of the training space

to be energetic, clean and modern. Using Coventry Homes’ signature triangles as a neutral backdrop, I created a custom mural from various images and Oilers brand elements.

To finish off the space, I also designed a half-dot pattern

for the large glass window to tie in the look of the mural

and serve as a safety feature on the glass.
